Apratim

It has been three months since I left the job. Everyday I think of doing something productive and end up doing nothing. Yesterday I thought of doing some unproductive thing and  it turned to be productive(atleast it made me write this blog) -watched "Abohoman", a bengali movie written and directed by Rituparno Ghosh. I dint understand the plot first time, thanks to the editing, watched it again.

Movie is about life of an art film maker(Aniket) and his relationship with an actor(Shika).  Shika bears resemblance to Aniket's wife Deepti. The story gets interesting when the aging Aniket falls in love with Shika who is of  his son's age. The film gives  an unbiased and impassionate picture of protagonist's life.

And the best part comes after the death of Aniket. Aniket's son Apratim decides to make a documentary on his father's life. As a part of it he meets Shika to know about the relationship she had with his father. Once during their meeting Shika asks Apratim if he wishes to have a relationship with her. He says no. Upon asking why he replies..............................

Na !!! Not here.;-)
Watch the movie and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.This is the best part of the movie. This scene made me watch it again and again. The count reached 4.
